After many crises last year, numerous charities quickly popped up to prey on people’s big hearts and pocketbooks.
Three groups put large, general interest charities under the microscope: www.charitywatch.org, www.give.org and www.charitynavigator.org.
These watchdogs are non profits themselves and use different standards for their reviews, so it’s a good idea to check them all.
Cheap Drug Prices
Some more helpful news! In talking with some seniors citizens, we came across some interesting reports on drug prices.
Costco.com is online and you can compare prices and do not have to be a member in order to buy in their pharmacy. They seem to be much cheaper than even Canada.
Just go to their site and click on “Pharmacy” link at top of page, then select first letter of drug name and voila - current drug pricing and generic drug pricing information in realtime.
