RidgefieldTalks Newsletter - October 2006

With gasoline prices down and interest rates holding steady, we are all hoping consumer confidence will be restored and the housing market will pick up once more.

The media has not given us a break these last few months talking about housing being over inflated and so the buyer’s comments more often than not is “maybe I’ll wait.”

However, to date, the news seems more encouraging for the New Year.

Housing picked up in September and October compared to summer, but we do have over 300 homes on the market at the present time.

While on vacation we shot this fun photo and I wanted to remind everyone to turn your clocks back Saturday October 28th.

After many crises last year, numerous charities quickly popped up to prey on people’s big hearts and pocketbooks. Three groups put large, general interest charities under the microscope: charitywatch.org, give.org and charitynavigator.org.

These watchdogs are non profits themselves and use different standards for their reviews, so it’s a good idea to check them all.

On a final note, our last dog is in his final stages at Guiding Eyes and Roar in Ridgefield is desperately looking for dog walkers for both AM and PM shifts if anyone can spare a little time. It can even be once a week.
