Nearly half of the U. S. moved in the last five years of the 20th century. America continues to be on the move. People in their mid 30’s through 50s with children, tend to make more shorter moves in search of a bigger home or quieter neighborhood, while those in their 60s and older move to warm-weather climates or closer to family members after retirement. As of today, even with the cold, the market looks to be coming on strong this year.

Today’s current inventory is 121 homes for sale.
There are 18 homes under $500,000 – 50 homes from $500,000 to $l,000,000 and 50 homes over one million with the highest being $3,300,000.
We had 339 homes sold in Ridgefield in the year 2003.
Last year we started out in Jan. with only 99 homes for sale due to the brutal weather.
Our biggest closing months are April-October with May and June being at the peak. Lowest inventory is always in December with January close behind.
This will be my 25th year in real estate here in town this summer. Hard to believe! While we always thought we’d eventually move south, I can’t imagine my life without this business. I just love real estate and want to thank you and all my friends and customers who have sent me their referrals and helped me to be once more the top producer in my agency.
